Just arriving from another facility  I already felt alone; due to COVID everything has changed from the norm especially having to endure the hospital stay without our loved ones. But I had some experiences while being admitted here at JRMC. (To the point that I was willing to just discharge myself and let the chips fall where they may.) But I can look back over the entire incident and appreciate how going through those minor hiccups put me in a positive mind frame! But I had to say that to say this...You can never judge a book by its cover. With just a quick glance, you would never know the magnitude of intelligence that Rick displayed. After my first night at JRMC, I soon found comfort in asking this Nurse different questions that I was so unsure of. It is confusing enough trying to break down medical terminology but I never felt that way with Rick. So with that, I felt so at ease in knowing what those tests meant and the different things that occur when the function of the body is being compromised. I just want to say thanks for helping me to get a better understanding. I would still be confused without that.
