Kresta is consistently a Nurse who gives one hundred percent every shift. She never has a negative attitude and speaks to her patients with compassion and respect. When giving patient care Kresta always goes the extra mile to make sure she is following protocol while providing safe, timely, compassionate care for her patients.

Kresta was given a challenging patient at shift change who had been combative and in four-point restraints for hours despite medications. Kresta was willing to attempt taking the patient to CT despite the challenge it could present. On the way to CT Kresta used therapeutic touch and reassuring words to keep the patient calm. When we returned from CT Kresta took extra time with the patient to reassure her and work to keep her calm and was able to discontinue restraints because of the time Kresta chose to spend with the patient although she had other patients who also needed her attention.
In the ED we are often running from task to task just to keep up, but Kresta took extra time to attend to a confused and scared patient and she was willing to take the risk of falling behind in other tasks to provide exemplary nursing care to a challenging patient.
