Rita provided my mother with extremely compassionate and tender care, the last few days she spent in the critical care unit. It was a very difficult and stressful time for my siblings and me. Rita stayed with my mother and my family even after her shift had ended until my mother passed peacefully. Rita's care for our mother provided us with a profound level of comfort, then, and now. Rita was very much appreciated during this most difficult time in our lives. We would like to recognize her dedication to providing compassionate care.

My first two days in ICU were very comforting and relaxing notwithstanding a quadruple bypass I just had. Thanks to a very compassionate and extraordinary nurse, Rita McKenzie. I remember calling her Kim, probably being confused on my first day and then I started calling her Jimmy-John because every time I needed or wanted something, in came Rita already offering what was just in my mind in the first place. Proactive, very professional, and knows her job pretty well. At the right moment, she would become assertive to the most stubborn patients like me while explaining in details what was needed. I certainly miss her!
