She gave our family hope that I could still continue my regular life activities, I could still work, could continue to be a mother and a wife, and continue life.
To be a dialysis patient is a LIFE-CHANGING and DEVASTATING, it felt like the end of everything, but Richie made me realize that even though my kidneys failed, I'm still complete. I still have my family and my dialysis team willing to support me all the way, no matter what.

I am really grateful and thankful that she's the nurse who gave me/us the lecture about dialysis options, she explained everything in detail the way a patient can really understand, and all the information she provided me gave me a feeling of security, the feeling of fear became a feeling of hope and determination to fight and continue life. She gave our family hope that I could still continue my regular life activities, I could still work, could continue to be a mother and a wife, and continue life.

I chose PD because she really made me feel I would be okay and fine under her guidance as a PD nurse and as a private person, too. She's a remarkable nurse. A 24hour 7days/week, no day off nurse that you can call and ask anytime you have a problem, you can call and wake her up even at the middle of the night if you are having trouble. A nurse who always finds the best solution to any problem always has the best answer to every question I have as a PD patient, and is a very expert in her field.. she also serves as my personal health assistant or, should I say, as a personal nurse. She never fails to remind me of all my clinic appointments and follow up if I have already picked up my medicines in the pharmacy; very passionate in explaining each of my medicine, reminds me of my diet, reminds me of my lab work, explains my lab results, explains what the doctors say if I was not able to understand what was the doctor is telling me and most of all a nurse who always make sure that her patient always gets the best care they needed. For any of my health problems, She's very quick to get an answer from a doctor, too. Very approachable and easy to talk with. She really made my dialysis life very bearable and less stressful.  She's a good listener and counselor; I felt relief and comforted after crying to her while I was undergoing the training. She told me that I was just afraid and feeling down because I didn't know what I was doing yet and that I was not fully trained and had enough knowledge, yet she was right; after my training and after learning everything, I felt relief. I realized that it was fine and that I could do it on my own. She gave me the drive to move on. She told me that the only way to move forward is ACCEPTANCE cause by accepting my situation, I can focus on improving and maintaining my health, giving me the courage to ask for the help that I need and embrace change in my life.

I know I am mean, have a bad attitude toward her, and am hard to please when it comes to services, but I salute her for being so professional. She's able to handle my attitude and please me with the way she delivers her care and services as a PD nurse.

PD patients are so blessed and fortunate to have an amazing, understanding, reliable, responsible, well-mannered, and compassionate Nurse like her... Thank you for your unending patience and 24/7 service and guidance to us. Continue to inspire and guide patients who need your support.
