Robyn was caring and very responsive to my wife’s needs, which she could not express to us verbally. Robyn was even more beneficial in helping me through the decision to remove my wife from a ventilator. I asked her opinion based on her experiences with patients in similar situations. She was honest with me and did not sugarcoat things. She did not insert her beliefs but provided me with fact-based or firsthand knowledge. That’s what I wanted and needed. She was proactive in suggesting things, issues, and consequences that I had not yet thought of. She also truly listened to me and my concerns. I routinely received early morning calls from the night nurse during my wife’s stay. But Robyn was the only day nurse who would call me at the end of the day shift too tell me how my wife did after I had left her room and would explain the overnight plan. That was much appreciated, even though I was usually in my wife’s room pretty much all day. Robyn was a wonderful nurse to my wife and provided me with a much-needed support system during a most difficult time. I’d give her 6 out of 5 stars!
