Robyn exemplifies The DAISY award. She is a compassionate and caring RN/Administrative Director. I originally met Robyn about 20 years ago in a local medical practice (she was the patient and I was the RN Office Manager). She mentioned she worked at the medical center and graciously offered assistance if needed and continued "please give me a call if I can help!" Over the years, my husband has had multiple hospitalizations at HMH. Robyn has always been a phone call or email away.
Consistently, she goes the extra mile to offer a compassionate "listening ear" and reassurance during my husband's inpatient stays. She has shared recommendations and reassurance at the most trying times stating her utmost confidence in the care my husband wound receive. 2019 brought a second lung cancer diagnosis for my husband.
Miraculously, Robyn appeared to offer her love and support. Her position does not include bedside counseling of inpatients. I thanked her and she said "It is my pleasure to help any way I can. We will get him in tip-top shape." She graciously visited before his surgery to remind us that HMH is a premier medical center and provides exceptional care to all of its patients. She also spoke with the scheduled anesthesiologist who mentioned he had cared for my husband during previous lung cancer and brain surgeries.
She is an asset to the hospital beyond compare. My husband's healthcare issues continue, and Robyn's compassion is phenomenal. He now requires a heart valve replacement. Immediately Robyn offered her love and wisdom. We are beyond grateful for her continued passion for exceptional care. Robyn is to be commended for her excellence.
