My mom has been at Valley Presbyterian Hospital since January. While we have experienced so many outstanding nurses, Rom really stands out among them. He truly took the time to make our mother feel cared for by involving us in her care and asking about her history to enable personalized care and educate us at the same time. He worked out a routine with our mom, which included turning, bathing, and providing routine oral care.

We never felt like he was rushing. Our mom has experienced continuous pain and will be signing her Advance Directive today, however, through all the pain and sadness she endured, Rom was the one person our mom was excited to see. She told us that ‘he truly cares.’ As those who will soon be dealing with the end of life, we appreciate Rom for making a difference and leaving such a positive impact on our mom. We need more amazing people like Rom in this world. Thank you!
