He held my hand and asked what did I need or want him to do to get me turned around. This to me is worth more than anyone can realize.
I was rushed to the ER for uncontrolled bleeding. They worked swiftly to get things under control. I was then transferred to the 4th floor. There I was treated by every member of staff day and night shift with excellent care. Then, I was transferred to the 2nd floor. It was apparently shift change time but they all worked together and got me settled in. The next morning at 3:30 am I had one the worst anxiety attacks I've ever had. This nurse Ron came in and immediately started to talk to me in a soft but firm tone which is what I required to come off these things. He held my hand and asked what did I need or want him to do to get me turned around. This to me is worth more than anyone can realize. I have found that very few people have the talent for this sort of thing but Ron was a natural. This was the first time I'd been in the hospital for my needs since 1976. It was very scary. So from this 69-year-old grannie, I say thank you and well done.
