I am a 76 year old and a widow for 2 months. I arrived at Seton Emergency Room on 5/17/12 with terrible abdominal pain unable to have a bowel movement for 5 days and a state of depression. The nurses assigned to me were kind and compassionate but not problem solvers. I prayed that God would send me an angel. He did that in the form of Roni! She came in like a ray of sunshine. She opened my blinds to let the sunshine in. She cheered me up, hugged me, and made me feel whole again. She checked up on me continuously and assured me everything was going to be alright. She changed my booties to a larger size so my ankles wouldn’t swell up, but most importantly she went over my chart and found 3 possible solutions to my problem of bowel movements. She explained them all to me and I chose one with her help. It worked and I was no longer in pain! She is a hugger and amazing woman who deserves this award. Seton is indeed lucky to have her and so am I.
