Rosa did a phenomenal job making her feel comfortable and taking care of all her needs.
My mother was first admitted to HMTW due to a heart attack. Rosa was her nurse while she was in the ICU. My mother was a bit of a challenge and hard to please. Rosa did a phenomenal job making her feel comfortable and taking care of all her needs. She would call me and update me on my mother. She would answer all my questions and make me feel that my mother was in great hands. Extremely professional and so knowledgeable when explaining all my mother's issues and procedures that had been scheduled.

My mother was fortunate to have left the ICU and to have been discharged home. Unfortunately, my mother experienced a second heart attack a few days later after being discharged and was readmitted to HMTW. When I arrived at the ICU, I was so happy to see Rosa. She made sure to be the nurse to care for my mom. She came out to the waiting room and gave me updates and assured me that she would let me in to see my mom as soon as she could. My mom was not as fortunate with her second heart attack. When she arrived from the Cath Lab, she required extensive CPR and did not regain consciousness.

Rosa was unbelievable with my mom and our family. She explained everything so well. She held my mother's hand. When we asked for a chaplain and one was not going to arrive in time, she took the initiative and prayed with us. She was present with us throughout the entire process of my mother's passing. What an extraordinary nurse! Rosa could have easily distanced herself from us and done her job, but she went above and beyond for my mom and my family! That night we were so thankful that Rosa was her nurse. I know my mother would not have wanted anyone else and knowing that made the process of her passing that much easier. Rosa will always be in our hearts for giving us such comfort in a time of such sorrow. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
