Rose Ann Sena, RN

My husband is a patient here, S/P VATS with chest tube. He was in pain, anxious, and terrified with the procedure and the thought that he might have cancer. Rose Anne was his nurse on his 2nd day stay here in the hospital after being transferred from SICU. She always wears her infectious smile and lights up the room with positive vibes. She was not only trying to care for my husband, but also trying to make sure that we, the family, who come to visit, are also made to feel her holistic care.

She constantly makes hourly rounds, meeting my husband’s pain management, and makes sure he meets his goal of having BM, since he hasn’t gone since post-op, which made him uncomfortable. Because of her positive attitude, she made my husband smile and laugh, even if he was in pain.

We really felt that she was very genuine in providing care to my husband and us, the family. I know that she was busy with her other patients, but we always felt like a priority because she was focused on my husband’s care when she was in the room. That made us feel important and not just another patient in Rose Anne.
