Rosanne had a patient this week from the homeless shelter. His clothes were soiled and wet. He mentioned to her how important these particular clothing items were to him and that he would have nowhere to clean them. Rosanne took the clothing home and washed it on her own time for the patient so that he could have these items ready for discharge.
Rosanne also had another patient this week whose car had been stolen. She called the police for the patient to make a report, and provided support to the patient in the meantime, as the patient had mentioned that all of his son's belongings were in there, and were extremely important to him as his son had recently passed away. The police were able to find the car but told the patient that it would be placed in impound and would cost hundreds of dollars to get out. Rosanne told the patient she would get the car from the police station over the weekend instead, and bring it to the hospital so the patient would not have to pay. Rosanne has a heart of gold and truly cares for her patients.
