Roselyn is a staff nurse in the Same Day Surgery Unit. She works very hard to help our patients deal with their illnesses, alleviate their suffering and allow them to maintain the most normal life they can. Roselyn helped one of our patients to accomplish these goals. More importantly, she allowed this patient, who was a friend and fellow staff member, to retain the dignity of working during the final days of her illness. She never complained about taking on her fellow staff member’s extra work and worked all odd hours to cover the unit. Roselyn’ compassion, strength and outstanding care, for her SDS patients’ and our beloved friend, has inspired us all. Nominated by her Director of Surgical Services.
