Our son, J, has been a regular visitor to the Infusion Center at Wallace Tower for treatments over the last FIVE years. We have seen wonderful staff members come and go, but the consistency in the center has always been with Nurse Roshunda Parker. She has an amazing team of nurses that care for the many patients that come for treatment, but she ALWAYS makes it a point to come by and personally welcome the patients and their families. Her sweet heart, kind attention, and patient ways make a visit to the Infusion Center like visiting family! If there is a problem with an infusion, Mrs. Parker can fix it ... if there is a shortage of supplies, she has an alternative ... if there is a bit of fear in a patient, she wins them over and if you just need a shoulder to lean on, she is there for the patient and their family. Visiting the infusion center can be scary at first, but after our time with this team we can see how much Mrs. Parker’s attitude, caring, and grace make a difference. Normally, when we are “gone from the hospital” we are gone – we try not to think about it ... but, we speak often of Mrs. Parker at our home in a happy way because of her warm personality – we love her joy and her stories! It gives us peace to know that someone who cares so much is in a position where she can bring a smile to so many just by being who she is!
