She always listened to our problems with a deep hug. It consoled us and gave us strength.
It was recently that we realized with broken hearts that our 12-year-old daughter has cancer. It was a dark day in our life. On the same day, there came an angel named Sabah. She told us with confidence “Trust us”. She kept that promise throughout the journey. Everything was new to us in the Oncology Ward. Before starting the first chemo, she explained everything about the medications, side effects, and reactions. When the first chemo started, our daughter has a lot of pain, as the painkillers were stopped at that time. The way she gave support, love, and care to reduce her physical pain and our mental pain was beyond words. She always listened to our problems with a deep hug. It consoled us and gave us strength. Her frequent jokes brought smiles to our daughter’s face, instead of grief. She provided us with the protocols of the treatment and explained the plan very well. She is always pleasant whenever she sees my child and they would walk together happily. We consider this nomination as an opportunity to convey our heartful thanks to dear Sabah.
