Safiya made sure my experience was relaxed, safe, and comfortable.
My first night in 8A was also my first chemo treatment. I was scared. In walked the most patient, helpful, reassuring, and encouraging nurse ever. She made sure my experience was relaxed, safe, and comfortable. I was fortunate to have this compassionate nurse on a few more occasions and each time she was exceptional. She is also patient in her instruction of other nurses- many of whom sing her praises. While in the midst of one of the scariest times of my life, Safiya was an angel – I couldn’t have come through with such ease without her!
