Sally Aldrich, RN

Sally is so cheerful, friendly, and just a breath of fresh air every day. She has the difficult job of establishing rapport with nervous patients every day and is so wonderful at it. Her patients absolutely adore her. She also goes above and beyond to help everyone anytime. A recent example was when I had a patient who had strange ST changes on telemetry prior to induction. I wanted a 12 lead EKG before proceeding. We rarely do those in the OR and weren’t sure whom to call to make it happen. One of the room nurses happened to see Sally in the hallway, asked her how to get an EKG in the main OR and Sally just ran in with a machine and did it herself. This is definitely not in her job description.

The patient was understandably nervous, being told that she needed another test to look at her heart before we did the procedure. Sally had her smiling and laughing by the end of the EKG. She is just such a wonderful person. She sees needs and fills them without complaint and brightens everyone’s days while doing it. She’s one of my favorite people in this hospital.
