What makes Samantha stand out from the other nurses that provided care for us was her kindness and compassion. She was very busy but she took time to listen without judgment. In doing so she was able to defuse a highly explosive situation. She remained professional and immediately started looking for solutions. She was kind when kindness was most needed. Because I am a nurse also, I know that demands do not make it easy to listen and sometimes it is very difficult to remain kind. She made us fee top priority each time we encountered her.

Samantha also exhibited excellent assessment, interpersonal and decision making skills. She consistently focused on meeting the needs of the patient and the family. Samantha showed empathy in all situations.
