While she may not work directly (hands on) with patients, she is probably the most valued nurse in the Peds Outpatient Clinic. She is responsible for patient forms, nurse line calls, and prescription refills and many other things. Sandra works tirelessly assisting patients with their many needs from nurse advise to staying on top of physicians to complete their forms and RX request, ordering equipment, making sure everything is in order for tests and procedures. She is kind, compassionate and caring. Her work load is huge, and unimaginable, yet she is always ready to help anyone with any problem or question. I have worked with Sandra for many years now and find that she always makes the patient’s needs a priority. She is comforting and patient with parents when they call and are scared and don’t understand their child’s complex care needs. I can’t think of another person more deserving to receive the honor of this special recognition.
