My daughter is suffering from several health issues and also has severe anxiety and claustrophobia. There were many challenging conversations with her and the neurologist's office that led us to an MRI with general anesthesia. Nurse Sandra Stevens was an absolute blessing! My first conversation with her was 30 minutes long because she wanted to know what the patient needed. She assured me my daughter was important and would receive the necessary medical attention in a way that she could process it without causing any other condition to flare or worsen. We had at least 4 additional conversations in the couple of weeks leading up to the MRI. Each time, Sandra was empathetic, helpful, understanding, and never rushed. She answered my questions, followed up with the anesthesiologist, and returned my call, provided information regarding a new prescription, and clarified all information. I felt I knew her before I even entered the hospital.
Of course the day of the test, Sandra was there and the one who helped us every step of the way. My daughter told me many times, "this nurse is SOOOOO nice!" No surprise, she was even more kind and gentle in person. She certainly has answered the call to be a true nurse!!!
