Sandy has grown into her new role with ease. The CVICU is a very busy, complex unit. She has been trained on and has become efficient at running the numerous specialized devices in a short period of time. She is a great patient advocate and someone everyone enjoys working with. Her patients and coworkers are lucky to have her.

Sandy was taking care of a long term trached patient and all he wanted was a Pepsi. Sandy bought a Pepsi for him and put it on a swab so he could taste it. Even though he couldn't drink it, she made his day giving him just a little taste of his favorite drink!
