Anxiety, fear, depression- all of these defined my feelings when I first walked into the Women's Board Center for Radiation Therapy at Rush. Introductions to Rush's most knowledgeable staff were made but there was the one and only Sarah Anderson. She greeted me with a huge smile and initiated a conversation loaded with compassion, understanding, and positivity as to what I was going to endure.
She was there for me throughout all treatments with an insatiable knowledge of all procedures and outcomes. As a result, I walked away feeling that I had made the right choice of treatment and that I had made a new friend. She is extraordinary!
