After monitoring our son's struggle to breathe, which seemed to be an eternity, our son was transferred to NICU. My husband and I struggled with the new diagnosis, the immediate changes and the daunting steps that lied ahead. We held it together for the evening but as soon as the shift changed, I broke down.
