Earlier this week we had a patient that was in mental distress to the point of self-harm. This patient really needed the help of a supportive team. Thankfully, Sarah was in charge that night. She was able to utilize chain of command, our nursing resources, and help our team navigate the frantic few hours that took place. She remained calm and did the right things. She created a safe place for our patient to receive the care that he needed. She debriefed with the team and made sure that they felt the support they needed. This is just one story of many. Sarah always does the right thing to keep our team and our patients safe! Thank you so much, Sarah, for being so flexible in adjusting your assignment. Not only that but thank you for your compassion in dealing with a very difficult psych patient. And thank you for taking the time to help transport my very sick patient to CT. It was a very busy time in the morning, but you still offered to help. Thank you for being dependable and for being a great team player.
