Sarah went above and beyond when taking care of our daughter after her spinal surgery. She braided her hair and helped us be prepared for what to expect before and after surgery. She came by often to be sure we were always comfortable and had everything we needed and spoke to our daughter in such a compassionate way. She gave our daughter her first shower after surgery and was so sweet and helped make her comfortable (and not at all embarrassed!). We were so fortunate to have Sarah, she embodies what being a nurse is all about. She felt more like a friend than an employee of the hospital. Nurses like her are one of the biggest reasons that our daughter hopes to be a pediatric nurse one day.
