I’ve had the privilege of experiencing her genuine warmth and attentiveness when I first came to the emergency department. She treats all patients with care and consideration and creates an atmosphere of comfort and trust for the patients and their loved ones. Her clinical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate needs are truly remarkable. She takes her time to listen attentively, answer questions patiently, and explain complex medical information in a way for everyone to understand. Moreover, Sarah consistently demonstrates teamwork and collaboration with all members of the interdisciplinary team. She makes everyone feel important and welcome.

Her communication makes the day flow by seamlessly, and she puts the patient at the forefront of every decision made. She’s been a nurse for 20+ years, and I have no doubt that she’s made a profound impact on the lives of countless others. The care that she provides serves as a shining example of the power of nursing. I wholeheartedly believe that Sarah embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award.
