Savanna is truly one of a kind! I have never been a patient in a hospital, except for giving birth, so I was filled with apprehension, loneliness, pain, fear and a million questions! Savanna immediately stepped in reassuring me that those doing the testing would take good care of me and that she would be waiting for me when it was over.

With my children living a distance away and only my husband waiting, she made it seem like she was part of the family. When the day came that the diagnosis of cancer was confirmed (my husband had left for the day), Savanna held my hand and cried with me, explaining that there were many new directions for successful treatment and that the knowledge of all the teams was “top-notch”. She patiently let me talk about my family and the death of my 10-year-old son – then we cried and hugged some more. Savanna is an exceptional nurse, person, and new friend. I thank God she and others like her are around to help those of us that need care.
