Savannah is a nurse who takes pride in her patient care. At the beginning of her shift, she came in and introduced herself as the nurse coming on for that shift, and if I needed anything to just ask her. She went above and beyond her duties. She made sure my pain level was under control and that I was comfortable. Savannah was very attentive as I was running High temps. She would take my temp give me medication and recheck my temp in about an hour to make sure it dropped. Her compassion and proactiveness really make her stand out as a nurse! She made sure my water intake was consistent due to the high fevers she made sure I had ice water at all times and I never had to ring the bell. She always came in with it without being asked. When I asked about results from tests she found out the answer for me or gave me a possible time I could reask if there wasn't any. I never felt forgotten about or my pain dismissed she was compassionate, empathetic, attentive, and just a delight. She was easy to ask questions or request anything that I needed. I never felt that I was a bother to her she always was happy and polite and happy to help in my time of need. You guys (Atrium) are very lucky to have her. She made my first ER visit in Lincolnton a great experience. Savannah is an asset to this hospital system. I would drive 40 minutes here if it were not a sensitive situation to be seen in this ED because of my experience with Savannah.
