I am an expat teacher from South Africa who has not been in hospital for 25 years. It has been a challenging 5 days trying to recover from pneumonia. The nurses have been very efficient, but it is a special gift to meet the emotional needs of a very anxious patient. Shainy has an inner quiet and wisdom to know what her patients need. She listened to my concerns without rushing me or giving quick and over-simplified answers. I was even able to share information about my family. Her attention to detail is so helpful. She adjusted (arranged) for changes to meds that made me feel nauseous—and kept my room very quiet when I was having trouble sleeping.

I cannot stress enough the importance of a human connection in times of illness. It makes all the difference. May she never get tired of making a difference. She is a huge asset to Al Sharq. Thank you for going the extra mile.
