During a recent hospitalization I was fortunate to have Shally as my nurse for several shifts. She constantly demonstrated caring and kindness and made me feel safe. While some other nurses came in to complete their tasks and move on, I always felt that Shally was interested in me as a person not just a patient. She would ask how I was and truly wanted to know. On the morning of a cardiac procedure, which I was very nervous about, she came to see me at the end of her shift. She held my hands in hers and said I will be praying for you that this works. It was the most comforting yet very small act of kindness that had such an impact on me. She is kind, caring and skilled. I will always be grateful to her for her kindness.
