I met nurse Shannon Hittle in the NICU when my baby was delivered in July. I was unsure of the whole experience and she was the first one to answer all my questions. She made me feel secure about what was happening to my new son.

She was always cheerful and really cared about my baby as her own. I could see that my son was trusting her too. She is the reason that my son is thriving by making sure he had everything-- baths, meds, clean diapers and extra attention (and towards me too).

She furnished me with food trays when it was late and trays were already over, even a room for privacy. She went out of her way to see that I got the supplies I needed.

She also was my nurse on the Pediatrics floor, which was great because she already knew us and what we needed and for me, being a first time Mom.

She was super great to my husband and family and took the time to know me personally, treating me like her family. She is a blessing to Chester County Hospital and I'm hoping to see her again in the future.

Seriously, she is the best experience I ever had in the health care system or at a hospital.

Shannon is God's true definition of a nurse.
