Shauna demonstrated the utmost in critical thinking, response and professionalism as an RN under a very stressful situation when a patient presented to the ED for L&D and started pushing while she was in the wheelchair. Shauna kept a very cool head and delivered the baby in the empty waiting room of the ER. I think she deserves recognition and appreciation for all she did that day for the patient, the newborn, and for all she does every day providing the kind of care that CRMC is proud to offer all of its patients.
