My 86 year old mother was a patient for over a week at Nash General Hospital. While there, I observed Shelly hard at work caring, helping, and assisting my mother and us and answering questions as we were devastated and stressed with my mother’s illness getting worse. She took her time, visited her room often, and checked on us to ensure we were comfortable and needed nothing. I stayed at the hospital daily and spent nights there also so I saw the great effort and care exerted by this nurse. I never knew a nurse who gave such loving, compassionate care and support as Shelly outside of my family and she showed great compassion for my family. She ensured our family had space to visit our mother, especially with COVID-19 policies in force. My mother was transferred to Hospice Center before her demise so she only stayed at Nash General for a little less than 2 weeks. I’m so grateful for nurses like Shelly and her solemn glorious heartfelt care and concern for patient care and well-being. Thank you so much for your dedicated, loving service and care of my mother.
