I overheard Sheri talking to her 94-year old patient today. They were talking about having to both use hearing aids. Sheri had this patient the day before and found out he didn't have a battery for his hearing aid. So, on Friday morning Sheri graciously brought in batteries from home for his hearing aid. The patient was overjoyed that Sheri had done this. I continued to listen as Sheri shared her struggle of how frustrating it can be not to hear. Later that shift, I went to talk with the patient and his daughter. He was so grateful for the compassion he was shown. He said it is hard to find people like her that will sit and talk and who really care. Sheri showed exactly what it means to go about and beyond. We are grateful to have her on our team.
