K’s condition was becoming critical with a decision to perform a c-section. Sommer remained calm and reassured us that we were in good hands. Sommer communicated efficiently with the doctors and explained all of the details of what was happening and how all of the issues were inter-related.
K’s condition worsened after the c-section and she transferred from L&D to Progressive Care Unit. After the transfer Sommer came to visit us and even brought a sympathy card. She visited with us for a while, giving us advice, listening and telling us of her experience with her still birth.
It is the clinical excellence coupled with passion for her work and the understanding of what her patients are experiencing that makes Sommer outstanding.
