Sonia meets the criteria for the DAISY Award because she was able to quickly build a trustworthy relationship when she started her shift. She came to the delivery room when I was in active labor and she was very knowledgeable with her nursing skills. She quickly took over as a confident leader. Instantly I felt secure in following what she told me to do for a successful delivery. Within minutes of Sonia taking over as a knowledgeable and confident leader, I was 100% successful with the delivery of my baby. After delivery, Sonia took the time to care for me until I was transferred to the mother-baby unit. Thank you for all you did for me, Sonia. I truly appreciate it.
