Sophia took the time to read my file, and when she led me to the infusion area, I said that I wanted a corner area. She responded by letting me know, "Yes, I have the area all set up for you." I was surprised!
Normally, when I arrive, I need to tell my nurse where I want to sit and then how I want the area set up. But not this day.

There before me was a corner area with the shades drawn up, the lights turned off, and the curtain pulled 3/4 of the way around the area. Usually, I need to tell the nurse to do this for me due to my sensitivity to light and to pull the curtain around so that I don't feel crowded by people. Sophia, doing this beforehand made my day. My level of anxiety dropped to the floor. And once I was seated, after I said yes to having a pillow and blanket, she pulled the curtain the rest of the way over.
There was a nurse assisting her, as always, when I had my infusion, but Sophia made such a difference for me.
Sophia's efforts really made my visit there comfortable, whereas in the past, it had been very difficult.
