Stephanie is an excellent role model for those she serves as a leader. She leads by example and sets the highest standard of nursing excellence. Her knowledge, skill, and work ethic are unmatched. Stephanie is often found in patients' rooms, working alongside her team.
This nurse leader fosters a just culture in her department. She makes sure the team members she leads feel safe asking all questions. She helps people understand the "why" behind specific initiatives. Her team members are eager to work on projects to improve care and efficiency in the department. Stephanie has empowered the leaders and team in the CVCCU to strive for excellence in all they do. She also motivates them to keep trying if they fail the first time.
Stephanie's team is motivated by her unending enthusiasm for excellence. An example of this includes this team's recent success with device data validation. This project called for all device data to be entered into a spreadsheet. The expectation was for the data to match what was in the EMR with less than a 5% variance. With Stephanie's leadership, this department was the first in the hospital to meet and maintain this goal. This was a huge accomplishment. Stephanie's Glint scores are regularly very high, speaking to her team's opinion of her leadership.
This nurse leader leads her team in strongly advocating for the community the facility serves. Her team joins her outside of work, participating in different community events. This team is often present at community business expos, working with our mobile bus to help with health screening and other community service events.
Stephanie is one of the best leaders we've had a chance to work with. She interacts with her staff and patients in a way that exemplifies what we want at this hospital.
