Stephanie is an incredible nurse who consistently goes over and above for her patient and is the nurse we should all strive to be. She makes sure critical patients are cared for down to the minute detail changing patient outcomes every day. Today, she started her morning with a patient who was 37 weeks pregnant and was admitted to the ICU after having a seizure. She cared for his patient all morning and when the patient told her “It’s time” she consoled her patient while the L & D nurse assisted in getting the necessary staff to assist in her baby’s birth. After her patient gave birth, and only halfway thru the day, it was deemed appropriate for her to transfer to Mother Baby where her baby and she could be cared for together. As her patient was being transferred, Stephanie was to receive a patient who had trauma to the head from EC. The patient was once again given the most exceptional care that anyone could receive. Stephanie is truly deserving of this award, as this is one of many days that she should be recognized for.
