I thank you for the manner in which you prepared us for what was coming. Stephanie, you and the staff were so kind.
My father was taken to the Emergency Room on Saturday, admitted, and passed away on Friday. In multiple phone calls, my father praised the staff for how he was being treated so kindly, he said so again on his final night. Stephanie, you are my hero. You met us as we first stepped foot into the COVID unit, your demeanor was calming and caring, and was exactly what we needed at that moment. I cannot put into words what it meant for us to be with my father during his final night in this life. Stephanie worked throughout her shift to give the older grandchildren, and the spouses of the children the opportunity to see my father one last time. When it was just mom, K, and myself, we were told what we were going to see as dad’s oxygen levels went down. I thank you for the manner in which you prepared us for what was coming. Stephanie, you and the staff were so kind. I overheard you and a coworker talking, I heard that you had just completed a 16-hour shift and that you were coming back in the same day. That is hard for anybody to do, and you were very kind while doing that. I will never forget what you said to me while I was standing by the elevator; you said that we would be in your prayers. Thank you, Stephanie. I thank the rest of the staff. On his final night Dad told us that everyone was so nice to him, thank you all.
