Stephanie took it upon herself to reach out to every resource she had in order to obtain copilots and drove to Brooklyn to obtain them on her own time.
John Quincy Adams said “If your actions inspire people to dream more, learn more, do more, you are a leader” Stephanie Minervini exemplifies the true meaning of leadership.
Since she started here at Riverview, the working environment has dramatically improved. Before Stephanie started our department was struggling with low staffing and low nursing satisfaction. Not only was she able to build back the staffing, but she also was able to acquire us new positions so the staff did not have to be overworked anymore. This has greatly enriched the culture of the Cath Lab. Our nurse satisfaction has improved and morale is at an all-time high in the unit. This is reflected in the recent Trust Index Survey where Stephanie’s team gave her an amazing 97% rating. The increased staff satisfaction has trickled down to a great increase in all areas of patient satisfaction. In every category of Press Ganey, we have increased patient satisfaction scores. There has also been a great deal of positive feedback from the patients in the form of multiple DAISY nominations for the nurses. Stephanie is the type of leader that you are not afraid to go to for anything. She is always available and willing to help in any way she can. Stephanie encourages her team to come to her with any issue, her door is always open and she is always available to us. She always responds in a quick and informative manner. Stephanie will always go above and beyond for her staff. There have been multiple supply issues lately with items on backorder and unavailable replacements. A vital supply, copilot, is necessary for procedures. A suitable replacement was also on backorder. Stephanie took it upon herself to reach out to every resource she had in order to obtain copilots and drove to Brooklyn to obtain them on her own time. Time and time again she is going above and beyond in this way to make sure we have everything we need so we can do our jobs well. Stephanie has fought to have much of our outdated and broken equipment replaced and has been working tirelessly to obtain new innovative equipment to help us become the most competitive lab. We have had multiple in-services on new equipment we are going to obtain to improve patient care, such as cardio mems and shockwave therapy. She has been working with marketing to increase our volume and attract new physicians to come to our lab with our newly offered services. Stephanie leads by example, being a true leader, she is never afraid to get her hands dirty, at times she might be dressed up, but springs into action the second the unit is in need. There have been many times when the unit was at our busiest and Stephanie would come in dressed up and jump in to take our patients off the Cath Lab table and bring them to holding to expedite our care process. As our leader, she constantly encourages and inspires us to be at our best. We are able to strive for the best patient outcomes while working together as a solid team. Stephanie is truly supportive of her staff in every way possible and always thinks of us first before making a decision. Stephanie has truly made the cath lab a wonderful place to work, she has invigorated the department and completes our work family. We are so happy to have her here to carry us to new heights and are looking forward to all that is on the horizon for us.
