A recently discharged patient ran out of oxygen at home around 11:00 pm. They could not contact the 24-hour service and services were not set to be established by Apria until the following afternoon. Stephanie worked diligently to speak with RT and Case Management to ensure this patient was able to get the extra Apria tanks needed to safely stay at home and make it through the night. Without her help, the patient would have been a readmission or not returned to the hospital and declined through the night.
