You also communicated in a way that I understood and felt that you were understanding me.
I wanted to thank you for being such a good nurse to me during my recovery from surgery for a right tibia plateau fracture back in August 2021. This may remind you of which patient I was-I was struck by a motorcyclist while on a sidewalk. I happen to be on the autism spectrum and my sister was able to be with me part of the time. She calms me and also helps with communication for me with other people. You took the extra time to talk with my sister to make the best decisions for balancing medicines, ice, and heat packs to alleviate my pain and nausea and deal with heart rate and blood pressure. I have trust and being touched issues and you were kind, gentle, and considerate of my situation and made it easier on me. You also communicated in a way that I understood and felt that you were understanding me. When you were my nurse, I was able to relax and know that I would be taken care of. For someone to be able to do that for me is an outstanding feat and I wanted to let you know that I sincerely appreciated all that you did for me during a very difficult situation in my life. Thank you.
