My sister delivered my niece, stillborn. Words cannot express the devastation that my sister and my entire family experienced with this loss. My husband and I were present during this delivery. God sent us an angel as my sister's nurse that day, Susan LeBlanc.
Sue went "above and beyond" that day. She advocated for my sister by helping us with a difficult physician. She was constantly at our side, keeping her as comfortable as possible, getting us a chaplain, assisting family and having a photographer make many cherished keepsakes and photos.
Sue prayed with us many times at our request. She gave us so much of herself we felt like we had a true angel, sent by God to help us get through our experience. I have visited many in the hospital over the years, but I have NEVER met a nurse as compassionate and giving as Sue. I hope that OSF understands how blessed they are to have such a wonderful nurse working for them. She was a blessing to our family.
