Susan demonstrates compassion and leadership on our unit every day. She cares about her nurses. Susan lends a hand without asking. She jumps in and assists with patient movement to allow proper ED/transfer flow, helps with admits, meds, transfers, and emergencies. She still cares for patients at the bedside and she is caring and compassionate. She includes the patient and family in the plan of care, but what impresses me the most is how she speaks to the patients with such kindness. She takes time with patients and is amazing to watch. We need more nurses like Susan and I love working with her. I know that our patients are cared for and that our unit will run smoothly when she is working.
