The following is an excerpt from a letter Gail wrote expressing her gratitude for the care her mother received through Hospice.

Susie Wright was the nurse/ case manager for Gail’s mother.
Gail says of Susie, “I will be grateful always for your kind, loving support and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today, I am distanced from my mother’s dying and I recognize now that the process of grief comes and goes and that it manifests in surprising and interesting ways…Before my mother started hospice care, I thought a lot about what the drugs would do to her. I did not want my mom to be “snowed” out in a haze. I know, Susie, it took a lot to convince me that that would not happen. This was not a trust issue because I completely trusted you and felt confident in your knowledge. Every question I asked you answered thoroughly.
Again thank you and your colleagues, Kim, Chelsea, Jane and Stephanie for helping to carry my mother, me and my family along the path of her last days. I will always cherish your strength, clarity and love. You are wonderful.
