New moms can feel particularly overwhelmed after their first child comes into the world. The Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center staff in labor and delivery and mother-baby know how crucial it is to treat these moms and babies with extra care. Sydney Johnson is dedicated to providing excellent and compassionate care for moms and babies. Sydney was nominated by a patient who called her “amazing” from the time she entered the door. This patient’s baby had some concerns, and Sydney immediately knew how to help while keeping calm and listening to the family’s worries. Her nominator said, “I have learned so much by having Sydney as my nurse and am so thankful we were able to meet her. She took wonderful care of baby, me, and dad during our stay!”
