I was an awful patient when I came in. I had been injured so I was very angry, sad, emotional roller coaster. Sydney was so kind and understanding. She was compassionate. She didn’t give up on me. I wanted to go outside to smoke, and she stood her ground while remaining professional and understanding. She helped me calm down and explained to me why I could not. I was mean to her, and she was never mean back to me. She continued to take care of me. Once I calmed down, she accepted my apology and focused on me getting better. I wanted to just go home so she helped me and encouraged me to walk. Throughout the pain, tears, and anger I was really just scared, and Sydney held my hand, and I felt safe in her care. Sydney didn’t hold grudges, and for the last days, she smiled and made me smile. I owe her. Thank you is not enough!!! From our talks and her care, I got better.
