Nominated by a patient's family: Sylvia Parker is amazing! She went way beyond her duties to help us. She was courteous, fast and patient with my husband. This is the worst thing (cancer) we've had to deal with and she made it much more tolerable. I can't thank her enough. Sylvia is so kind and does not make you feel as though you are a bother. She never forgot any requests we asked her. What a difference a glass of ice or a clean sheet can mean at times. I watched her going from one patient to another (never complaining) always a smile, taking care of their needs as if she was a part of their family. What a professional! She was able to put a smile on my husband's face, where during these last days, is almost an impossible thing to do. She also taught me a lot about how to care for people.
