Other than being an excellent nurse ambassador for Memorial Hospital as the past Nursing Practice Council chairperson and being instrumental in the development of our DAISY Award program, Tammy provides excellent patient care on a daily basis. This specific incident occurred while Tammy was hard at work one day, a co-workers husband was having issues and they reached out to Tammy for advice. Tammy recognized a potentially adverse condition and thanks to her critical thinking skills was able to get the patient the referrals he needed to stop him from having a major cardiac event that day. Tammy embodies what we prize most in our nurses at MHHCC, "Being for others."
